Scott and I planted a Fuji tree six years ago. It started about a foot tall. Last year, it gave us one apple. The day I went to pick it, I found a squirrel had eaten half.But this year, hallelujah! We're feasting on apples! Our tree has probably produced about 100, and yes, I'm eating an apple a day.What is it about eating fruit from your own trees? I feel tender towards these apples, grateful for every tart bite.
