When I did the video shoot for Ravenous, the book wasn’t printed yet. But I had to show a copy, so I printed out a pdf of the cover (see below), and taped it over Michael Pollan’s “In Defense of Food”.

Why? I could say it’s because it’s the same trim size (it is), he’s a good writer (he is), he’s a nice man (ditto). But he also sells lots of books (obviously), and on the eve of the publication of my first book, the superstitious part of me hopes that brings Ravenous a wee bit o’ good luck.
