My whole family just returned from Ratatouille – the brilliant and lovingly made Brad Bird/Pixar movie about a creative genius of a chef named Remy, who just happens to be a rat.

There is so much to love about this film — from the computer wizadry that makes onion look weepingly real, to the love of good, authentic food. But perhaps my favorite line belongs to Anton Ego, the snobby and disdainful food critic (who discovers by the end of the film what good food really is) when he says: “I don’t like food. I LOVE food. And if I don’t love it, I don’t swallow it.”
