So I put out to the Universe that I want to do more stage work (I used to perform music when I was younger and miss it) and the next day I get an email from a solo performer, Pidge Meade, who read my excerpt on Salon.com.

She’s doing a solo show called “40 Pounds in 12 Weeks: A Love Story” at the Marsh Theater in San Francisco, and wondered if I’d like to do a reading after the show and a Q&A with the audience.

Would I?! Are truffles delicious? Is bread and butter the very best dish in the world?
